Macksam Consultancy specialises in corrective services. Their expertise is in the operating cost of prisons including staffing.

 

Operating since 1988, the company has undertaken a range of projects throughout Australia including:-

 

· New prison business cases;

· Staffing reviews;

· Out sourcing;

· Rostering;

· Good budget practices; and

· Designing for efficient staffing.

 

Macksam has developed and markets the KEY Prison Budget Model. Developed for Microsoft Access 2010, KEY helps prisons develop comprehensive “zero based” budgets.

 

The company’s principal consultant is Shane MacNamara. With qualifications in accounting, he has been the Chief Financial Officer of government agencies including Queensland Corrections.
