KEY Budget model

 

 

KEY is a Microsoft Access 2010 database which

 

· Develops budget for correctional centres;

· Assists with resource planning; and,

· Facilitates benchmarking between centres.

 

KEY links the roster to the centre’s staff profile. It calculates

 

· Full time equivalent staffing;

· Shift penalties;

· Prisoner remuneration; and,

· Industry income and expense.

 

It calculates operating budgets for centres and rolls up all centres into State wide totals.

 

KEY reports include

 

· Labour costing;

· Overtime and casuals costing;

· Industry income and expenses;

· Monthly cash flows;

· Centre and state wide budgets.

 

All reports are available for export as a PDF file or to Excel.

 

State wide views  of the data are available to allow easy comparison of staffing for similar activities across the State.
